Near Me widget can't detect grouped layers in map service

Is there any reason why this is and will it get fixed in future updates? This is the map service I was trying to configure: https://arcgis.gis.lacounty.gov/arcgis/rest/services/DRP/SMMAR/MapServer

Only the parcel layer, which is not grouped, shows as an available layer. The other layers are either in a group or a nested group and aren't showing in the Near Me as available.
