Modelbuilder: Delete Features with Same Geometry by using Timestamp Field?

I would like to delete features that have the same geometry, where the timestamp field is the same day, but keep the most recent/latest record. Anybody have any ideas on how to tackle this workflow with Modelbuilder?

My solution was that I had to create a new field that just had the month, day and year, without the timestamp. Then I could use the Delete Identical tool, by using the shape field and the new field mentioned above to delete the identicals that were on the same day.
