I have a web map that I am editing in Map Viewer to use in Field Maps. I set feature-specific effects on a few of my layers, like drop shadow and blur, but it is not displaying in my Field Maps app. Are effects not supported in Field Maps yet?
Hello! Unfortunately no, but I'm glad I noted the enhancement # here. The enhancement case hasn't been updated since June 2024 and it is still under the status "In Review" with a "Low" priority.
@Tiff Were you able to resolve this issue? I am running into the same problem now and would rather use the shadow effect to indicate points already visited. I would rather do this than create a lengthy expression.
@VojtěchAndrš You can change symbology using the expression field however depending on your symbology already this can be a lengthy process .
Hello @KevinMayall @RoseN and all! I am looking for this same enhancement and I submitted a case to Esri. For folks who may see this and want to also create cases to escalate it further, here is the enhancement info:
ENH-000158588: Display ArcGIS Online Map Viewer effects in ArcGIS Field Maps
Same. Just trying to have drop-shadow effects displayed in the map in the Field Maps app.
Has any work arounds been discovered for this? Am experiencing the exact same issue (Feature Specific Effects not replicating in Field Maps)
I have exactly the same issue. Feature-specific effects, in my case used to emphasize already visited points, do not show. It would be super useful to be able to use it. Hope the answer or solution comes soon.
