Split Failed

Question

Hello-

I am getting the following errors when I attempt to use the Split tool.

I can however use other editing tools successfully w/o this error message. I also tested creating a new polygon, successfully- oddly enough, I can use split on the newly drawn polygon, just not on existing polygons.

I have attribute rules set up for this feature class. There are two relationship classes set up on this feature class. I am working in a GDB on a SQL database. Layer has GlobalID and editor tracking turned on, versioning is off.

I have looked at other threads regarding the split tool, however the suggestions in them aren't helpful.

Created a copy and tested- I am able to do the splitting  successfully.  Not sure why we suddenly started to get the error mentioned above. If anyone has insight just incase it starts up again, much appreciated!
