Portal Member List: Set default view to List

I have an Enterprise Portal 10.8.1 system:  I have had several requests to set the Members page default view to List because it shows the users groups. The only way I can do this currently is to create a bookmark like this.: 

 

 https://<url>/portal/home/organization.html?view=table&sortOrder=desc&sortField=lastlogin#members

In general, it would just be nice to have persistent view settings throughout the Portal, on members, content, groups, etc. Most people are probably fine with the defaults, but giving interested users the option of changing that setting would be great.
