Allow Legend to always remains open for swipe maps

Working in ArcGIS Online StoryMaps. Using the Swipe widget... in Swipe Options>Display>Map Configurations

Would be great if there was an option to configure the map, such that the legend always remains open instead of only displaying the icon. Or allow the user to configure the web map legend using the Edit>Options>Map configurations to toggle on the Legend.

It is somewhat possible in other web apps. you can tick the box so they are open on start up

I need this! Would be so nice to have an option to have the legend remain open. Would this be added to the next update?

@BriannaTatum, @SanneJuch -- The ability to keep the legend open for the swipe block was added in Aug 2025.
