Ever since this latest update to ArcGIS Online, many of our web maps will no longer allow us to take them offline. The web maps fail to download. This behavior is fairly consistent with some web maps, but hit and miss with others. Some web maps continue to download just fine. We are working with ESRI on this, but so far - no answers. Is anyone else out there in the world having these issues with taking apps offline? We're dead in the water right now on some pretty critical apps! This seemed to coincide perfectly with this latest update...
@Ken_Morefield I ran into an issue with offline failing to work on 8 Dec but that was around the time the ArcGIS Online update was happening. It was on hotel wifi and I managed to get one area offline and then all subsequent downloads failed not matter what I tried (wifi and mobile data connections). I tried that night and it worked... Unfortunately there was nothing in the log file on Field Maps to help identify the issue.
I assume Esri support had you check if anything was logged in the Field Maps app when it failed? And that all layers had a green tick when you look at them in the Offline section of the Field Maps web app.
I see that there is availability to set view layer extents based on another layer here. However, I do not see how to do this in the updates post. I also would like to know if this is possible to automate using API for python -- I have a parent layer that needs a view layer for each municipality and county in my state, and would rather not go though this process 200+ times. I did this automation previously before the update and the view layers seemed to work then, but not anymore/since the update -- so I'm wondering what must be changed with the new view layer setup. Thanks!
