In the Nearby Instant app, the localization of the road directions type is only available in English. All the other localizations that we need in French are ok.
In the screenshot provided, the yellow box is the wrong that is not localized.
This one is due to a bug with the JSAPI directions widget and will be fixed in a future release.

Unfortunately I do not know the exact release date when it will be addressed. If you contact Esri support they can add you to the list of users experiencing this issue.
Adding to this as I have the same issue and this issue is still present in 2025...
