Create link Pop up in web map not working

Good am, I am updating a older map to the new format. I have custom linked hyperlinks to reference another website. When I edit a link to removes the formatting.

After editing no link

 

I am  confused as before you could edit in a dialog like this one

I have solved my own problem...  in order to get the alternate words to be the link you have to highlight the whole selection of words then add the link. 

Hope this helps some else out.
