Summarize Nearby (Analysis)

Question

Hello:

I want to know if it is possible to capture summarize nearby data in my SQL Server Database which will help me just not to understand distance, lat\long but importantly I want to store object information like schools, hospitals, residential areas etc ....

Because before I capture buffer of 400ft or 2.5 kilometer, I want to capture those point locations like schools, hospitals, residential areas etc ....

Any help is greatly appreciated.
