Create flat edged buffers around polygons

Hello

I have a polygon feature service and I want to create buffer around these polygons but when I use the buffer method I get buffer with rounded edges.

I want the buffer to have the same edges as the original polygon but at a distance from it.

I have attached a sample of the output with rounded edges.

at each corner from your rectangular shapes, the buffer shape represents the same distance as along the linear portions.  it sounds like you want the shape to be rectangular rather than what a buffer is designed to return.  Square-ended buffers can be returned for polylines, however
