Accuracy of interpolation methods

Question

Hi all,

I performed groundwater head contours using Natural Neighbor interpolation.

Based on my contour lines, I carried out some hydraulic calculations of my model domain. In order to assess these calculations, I am using error propagation of my observations.

How can I find out the values' accuracy of the obtained hydraulic heads in my interpolated contours.

Thank you for the answer and the links provided.

Actually I did not only used Natural Neighbor, but also Bayesian Kriging and IDW interpolations. I know that Kriging is considered the interpolation method with best predictions, but it showed very weird behaviors on my contours, so Natural Neighbor provided the best fit to my field observations.

But, in order to proceed with my calculations, I need to find out the accuracy of the Z-values in my interpolated contour lines. Does anyone have an idea?
