add ECW with hyperlink

Hi,

I have a polygone with text value.  The text value is the path of ECW.   The polygone is the extend of ECW.

I want to create a hyperlink for add the ECW directly in my MXD with hyperlink fonction.

I don't believe there's any functionality to add data into Arcmap directly via clicking a hyperlink, be it in an attribute table or outside of it.  Maybe ArcObjects.
