Filter by User in Collector

It would be great if you could filter points depending on the user that logs into Collector. At the moment you have to create a webmap with a filter for each user, which in turn means you have to create a group for each user if you don't want all of the field workers to see lots of webmaps! If you have a workforce of 40+ that's a lot of configuration! We have a customer who wants to use Collector to update feature attributes. The points each user should see has an attribute with their username. If this attribute could be used to filter the visible points that would be ideal.

Yes the ability to assign work to the user that is logged in to collector would be great, as Michael says I have had to create multiple filtered maps and multiple groups to achieve this, not ideal.
