Move Graphical Table Elements to Basic License - Bring Tables to Maps

The number of projects I have to move from ArcGIS to AutoDesk because I can't easily deal with tabular data on the layout is more than I care to admit. We could feasibly go from a primarly Autodesk shop to an all ArcGIS shop if we could deal with tabular data on our layouts...
The price point for Production Mapping (which includes many other valuable features to help justify the price) is a deal breaker for us... especially for just this feature.
