"Impacts of Climate Change on Vertebrates Distributions: The Case of an Endemic Malagasy Fruit Bat (Rousettus madagascariensis)
Presenter(s): *Herivololona Mbola Rakotondratsimba, Association Vahatra"
Which of Rousettus madagascariensis habitats are most at risk under different models of climate change? This species is an endemic species to Madagascar that feeds exclusively on fruits and occasionally pollen and nectar. It is not an obligate forest-dwelling species. In order to answer this problem, we have chosen bioclimatic variables under climate change scenarios by 2020, 2050, and 2080. Amongst several models for generating climate change forecasting, we use the Maxent program due to the only presence occurrence data available.
