The Sulu2 project takes place in the Orinoco River Basin (Llanos) in Colombia, which is currently the focus area of expanded agro-industrial development in this country. The project area covers over twenty million hectares comprised by a mosaic of different types of grasslands, floodplains and forests, which hold significant biodiversity values and unique water and carbon dynamics with high variability patterns.
