August 6, 2019. Mass Development, a quasi-public agency supporting economic development in Massachusetts, is accepting applications for a GIS/CAD Technician.
Under the direction of the Engineering Manager, this position is responsible for maintaining and updating the municipal utility infrastructure, address and parcel mapping for Devens, MA; for sharing data with MassGIS, other federal, state and local agencies and organizations; for assisting in-house marketing and planning departments with preparation of graphics for presentations, reports and marketing materials; and will assist in the development of web applications for collection of field data.
The preferred applicant will have a strong GIS background working with utility and parcel data, development of web applications, and preparation of graphics for reports and presentations. Experience in CAD software (Bentley MAP/MicroStation or AutoCAD) is preferred and work with XFM data is a plus. However, training will be provided to candidates with strong GIS background and minimal CAD experience.
