Did you know that the US Department of Commerce has a Federal Advisory Committee dedicated to review of hydrographic services since 2003?
The latest meeting of the Hydrographic Services Review Panel (HSRP) was conducted on March 5-7, 2019 in Washington, DC at the Hall of Nations building, and the public was invited!
The content of these meetings varied, and when in DC, typically involved policy discussions the helped direct the investment of the US federal government to improve marine transportation infrastructure. Such improvements involve dredging, coastal planning, survey and mapping, and vessel safety.
The public got a chance to comment on these issues each day of the meetings!
