Data formats in ArcGIS Online

ArcGIS Online supports a variety of data formats and data services.<\/P>

In addition to geodata formats, data formats that do not have spatial reference are also supported. These data can only be managed and, if necessary, published in the ArcGIS Open Data Portal, but cannot be visualized in map displays.<\/P>

The following geodata formats and geoservices can be directly imported and visualized in a Web Map or under the tab "Content" in ArcGIS Online:<\/P>

• GeoJSON – files (.geojson, .json)<\/LI>
• Keyhole Markup Language – files (KML) (.kml, .kmz) and as collection (.zip)<\/LI>
• CSV – files with comma-separated values (.csv) and as collection (.zip)<\/LI>
• GPS Exchange Format – files (.gpx)<\/LI>
• Shapefile (.zip)<\/LI>
• File-Geodatabase (.zip)<\/LI>
• Web-Feed (GeoRSS)<\/LI>
• Web Map Service (WMS) (URL)\/ Web Map Tile Service (WMTS) (URL)<\/LI>
• Web Feature Service (WFS) (URL)<\/LI>
• Microsoft Excel (*.xls, *.xlsx)<\/LI><\/UL>

        <\/SPAN><\/P>So far, GeoPackage (.sqlite) and Geography Markup Language (.gml) are not yet supported in ArcGIS Online.
