Note:<\/STRONG> since the January 2021 update, with the introduction of the new energy label, the service only contains registered energy labels and no longer provisional energy labels. From August 2021, the service is updated monthly due to the switch to different source data from ep-online. As a result, the update process deviates from the method described below.
<\/SPAN><\/SPAN><\/EM><\/P>Sustainability and <\/SPAN><\/SPAN><\/SPAN>energy<\/SPAN><\/SPAN>saving <\/SPAN><\/SPAN>are topics that are increasingly high on the agenda in the Netherlands. <\/SPAN><\/SPAN><\/SPAN>The <\/SPAN><\/SPAN><\/SPAN>demand<\/SPAN><\/SPAN> <\/SPAN>for <\/SPAN><\/SPAN><\/SPAN>spatial <\/SPAN><\/SPAN><\/SPAN>information about <\/SPAN><\/SPAN><\/SPAN>these topics is growing strongly<\/SPAN><\/SPAN>. <\/SPAN><\/SPAN><\/SPAN>To respond to this need <\/SPAN><\/SPAN><\/SPAN>we offer<\/SPAN><\/SPAN> <\/SPAN>a new <\/SPAN><\/span>service<\/span> to our users: energy labels per address and building! The labels consist of officially registered and provisionally calculated energy labels and are made available in various formats by the RVO<\/A>. Houses sold since 2015 have a registered label; other buildings are included with the provisional energy label based on data from the Kadaster (including house type, size, and year of construction) and data from comparable houses. <\span>
To add geometry to the energy label, we have created a link
<\/SPAN><\/SPAN><\/SPAN><\/SPAN>with<\/SPAN><\/SPAN> <\/SPAN>the BAG. <\/SPAN><\/SPAN><\/SPAN>We first joined the table <\/SPAN><\/SPAN><\/SPAN>to <\/SPAN><\/SPAN><\/SPAN>the address points from the <\/SPAN><\/SPAN><\/SPAN>BAG<\/SPAN><\/SPAN> <\/SPAN><\/SPAN><\/SPAN>(by means of the calculated address field) to obtain a <\/SPAN><\/SPAN><\/SPAN>point layer<\/SPAN><\/SPAN> <\/SPAN>as well. A <\/SPAN><\/span>polygon layer<\/span> was generated using the buildings from theBAG. However, <\/span>displaying the energy label per building on the map was not as simple as it seems. <\/span>A building can consist of multiple addresses, and thus also contain several <\/span>energy labels <\/span>. For example: an apartment adjacent to the side wall of the building may have a different energy label than an apartment <\/span>located <\/span>in the middle of the building. <\/span>When <\/span>the energy label table <\/span>is joined with BAG Building, a polygon is generated for each unique address. <\/span>For a building with 40 apartments <\/span>, 40 polygons will be created. This is a lot of data and leads to the question: which polygon is visualized on the map? <\/span>The polygon that is visualized varies per use. <\/span>For some applications, you might want to visualize the most common label within a building, while for other <\/span>uses <\/span>, it may be important to show the least efficient label, for example if all addresses within a building should have at least a minimum energy label. We have calculated <\/span>four <\/span>new <\/span>fields: <\/span>the number of labels, <\/span>the most common, the most efficient, and the least efficient energy label per building. <\/span>To calculate these new fields, we used the tool Summary Statistics, which among other things allows calculating the sum of each label per unique building.
Since all four fields are present in the service, you have <\/span>the option to visualize <\/span>the buildings <\/span>on a field as desired.

A visibility range has been set in the webmap for both point and polygon layers. The polygon layer is visible when zoomed out and provides a general overview of the energy labels in an area. When zoomed in, points are visible that show the actual energy label per address along with additional information about the label and building.
