On Thursday, February 27, 2020, it was announced that the first person with the coronavirus (COVID-19) was detected in the Netherlands. Unfortunately, this number has increased over the past two weeks. Since the virus is contagious, location is an important component in the spread of this virus. Many maps have appeared in the news that all show the spread of the virus in different ways. In the beginning, this was mainly based on global maps and dashboards. For example, there is a dashboard<\/A><\/SPAN> from John Hopkins University in collaboration with Esri that tracks the number of infections, deaths, and recoveries per country. These are visible both on the map and over time. There is also a Hub<\/A><\/SPAN> established where information about the virus is maintained and various information products can be found.<\/SPAN><\/P> <\/SPAN><\/P>Initially, there was no dashboard available that specifically shows the spread through the Netherlands. However, since March 3, the RIVM has been tracking where infections occur within the Netherlands. Based on this information, we have configured a dashboard<\/A><\/SPAN> that displays the spread through the Netherlands and the progression of the number of infections over time<\/SPAN>. As soon as there is an update from the RIVM, we strive to update the dashboard as quickly as possible based on the new data. This is implemented in both the dashboard for display on a desktop or tablet<\/A><\/SPAN> and in the mobile display<\/A><\/SPAN>.<\/SPAN><\/P> <\/SPAN><\/P><\/SPAN><\/A><\/P><\/P>In the desktop version of the dashboard, you see at a glance the total number of infections and per municipality, both in table form and on the map. In addition, the total and number of new infections per day are displayed over time. In the mobile version, you can find the same information spread over different tabs. First, there is a list view showing the number of infections per municipality, followed by the daily progression in graph form, and finally it is of course also possible to view the spread on the map. Both dashboards also show when the data was last updated.<\/SPAN><\/P><\/P><\/A><\/TD><\/A><\/TD><\/A><\/TD><\/TR>
