How to add ArcGIS Pro SDK Templates in Visual Studio 2015

The templates for ArcGIS Pro are only supported and available for Visual Studio 2013 by default.

As I wanted to use Visual Studio 2015, I'd like to have the templates also available in Visual Studio 2015.

This could be realized with a few steps:

download the template vsix-installer: https://visualstudiogallery.msdn.microsoft.com/1dd407cd-bfe7-44d8-9d29-90e0d0db8699
open with 7zip
edit the extension.vsixmanifest file in root folder

search for

<InstallationTarget Id="Microsoft.VisualStudio.Pro" Version="[12.0]" />

add an additional line after this:

<InstallationTarget Id="Microsoft.VisualStudio.Pro" Version="[14.0]" />

save, exit, install

Unfortunately VS 2015 wasn't released in time for 1.1. All Pro SDK templates and utilities, however, will be supported on vs 2015. "Will be supported" means by or before Pro 1.2. 1.2 is slated for December 2015, Jan 2016.
