export layer to worksheet

Question

I have installed ArcGIS maps for Office and connection is to our Portal. I can Add map in Excel but export layer to worksheet or export layer to file are grayed out.

Can anybody help me so I can export the table to excel and create some reports? I need to do this ASAP. Thanks.

I can't speak directly to ArcGIS Maps for Office, but in Arcgis online / Portal, layers can have settings that prevent download or export. I would confirm that this is possible in Portal before worrying about ArcGIS Maps for Office configuration.

I have the same question, anybody can explain why the export selection is grayed out all the time?
