Update Feature Service directly from Excel Spreadsheet

Is there a way to update a feature service directly from a spreadsheet? I've been looking into Survey123 which has potential but requires users to have to submit results one at a time with page refreshing in between, which is a bit tedious. Was wondering if there was a way to submit results (including location) directly into a spreadsheet which will then update the feature service, or a way to update a spreadsheet and autofill a survey for each entry.

Hi there,

I recently was looking for this functionality as well, and I believe I may have found a solution for you. Using the ArcGIS for Excel extension you can directly update the hosted table/feature layer through Excel!

Here's a video demonstrating how updating the data in excel can also update the service which in this case is a AGOL hosted table connected to a Dashboard:

For sure no on that. You need to make them features manually. Nothing is automatic here.

Thanks! I was thinking about this method. If I were to append the data, I assume the new points would be automatically geocoded using arcgis online's geocoder. Is that correct?

You would need to turn them into features first. Then you can use Append. Note none of your rules or calculations will be in effect. So do this very carefully and make a backup first.
