Create Attachments is greyed out - how to enable?

Question

I am unable to Create Attachments.  Previously I have used Create Attachments and have been able to add attachments in our File GDB.  However, I am unable to create attachments for certain feature classes because the option is greyed out.

ArcGIS Advanced 10.1.

In catalog, right click on your feature layer - manage - create attachments.

Check out the tooltip reasons.. it might be one of those ???
