How do I resize pictures in story map?
Which story map style are you using? In the most recent version you are limited to Small, Medium, and Large:
In this screen cap my choice is medium; for a large image, it must be at least 200 pixels wide. I use this site to enlarge my images if I need/want to:

I also use the 'classic' story map Journal Style for training materials. It allows one to Fill, Fit, Stretch, Center:
The website mentioned comes in handy to actually resize your images....
