Hide a geopoint in a repeat

I have a pipeline inspection survey that contain 4 repeats for different features found along the pipeline (barcodes, valves, flanges, vents). i want to have a geopoint question in each repeat to grab the lat/long when a new record is added to the repeat. Is there any way to hide the geopoint so that it just collects the info silently without the user having to tap a map?

I know this happens for a survey if you don't specifically include a geopoint question.

I don't know if there's a way to hide it completely, but you could change it to a read only question. It would still be visible, but it would collect a location without requiring any input.
