I would like to know about the performance baseline for ArGIS products / solutions? And whether it is performance tested?

I would tend to agree with Dan's statement.  They are very different platforms in terms of intended use, tech constraints, and data sources.

Since they do different things, there is little one could benchmark except in a qualitative sense

I'm performance testing an application with Google Maps and ArcGIS online. So would like to know are there any performance benchmarks available to refer like rendering time, etc...
