ArcGIS for SharePoint full vs relative paths

In ArcGIS Maps for SharePoint, we have created a template SharePoint site but when we create the new map it doesn't reference the list items because they reference the full path, not the relative path. How do we get the data source to reference the relative path of the list for each new project?
