I'm testing arcgis pro, I'd like to find a tutorial.
Basically I'd like to load a raster map, and try to change projection.
Can someone guide me to perform these two simple tasks?
Thanks
You could start here: Fundamentals of georeferencing a raster dataset—Help | ArcGIS Desktop probably you will have to Georeferencing a raster to another raster—Help | ArcGIS Desktop
I can't find a way to georeference a raster so that it matches another raster.
The tutorials just do not work.
Here's what I'm doing: I load a referenced raster, which perfectly aligns with the base map. If I click Set SRS nothing happens.
Then I load the raster I want to georeference, this is being loaded either as a tiny box at the center of the atlantic ocean, or as a giant map that extends beyond the base map borders.
If I click Set SRS the map properties dialogue pops up. Here I set the coordinate system as the first raster, then to extent I set the custom extent and I choose calculate from and I select the first raster. I close georeference and nothing happens. The second raster is still wrong. What am I missing?
