The ArcGIS Pro fails to recognize the .aprx file from the “project” pane,

I wondering why the ArcGIS Pro fails to recognize the .aprx file from the “project” pane. The advantage of this (reading the .aprx from the project pane) is one can drag\drop

couldn't find drag and drop but I did find reference to only having one open...
