When saving shapefile as raster file, ArcMap 10.3 crashed. Any idea how to fix this? Snapshot of the issue below:

Can you install ArcGIS 10.3.1? I wonder if that kind of issue was fixed in 10.3.1? (Or maybe even go to 10.4.1)?

pretty well anything, like trying to convert a floating point values to a raster, way too many values to convert, a bad file path...

The important information isn't that it crashed, but

* what was the extent and cell size used?
* what was the path, name and type of the raster you were trying to create?
* does it crash on all files or just this one?
* did you try a portion of the file to rule out file size issues?
* did you try it on another machine to rule out machine issues?
* did you have background geoprocessing turned on?
* anything else not listed above
