Dear All,
I'm using the Calculate Visual Specification Tool to create a compass rose for my nautical chart. The creation process was fine and saved my map document. However, next time I opened the mxd, there where some strange lines on the compass rose(screenshot is attached). I can't find a way to turn them off. The only way was rerun the Calculate Visual Specification Tool again.
Does anyone has this problem before?

In my case, the version of the geodatabase matters. I have those VST tables and CompassroaseP feature class since ArcGIS 9.3. After coping the CompassroaseP feature class to a geodatabase created in 10, those weird lines occurred.
I have the same issue once when working with Topo features but in my case, I encountered those weird lines in my static legend in Layout View. Hope someone can explain to us why this is happening.
