hi I have download topographic map from esri and i have make some buffer,point ,line ect. in this map but when i save in my computer the map lose .what can i do?

As a general rule, never save stuff to your desktop. You should actually get in the habit of creating a folder to save your work in and house your data of all sorts there and your project there as well. You can then recover materials and back them up or use them elsewhere easily.
