Trying to have attribute widget honor the time slider widget

Question

I have a time enabled WAB map using time slider widget. We also want to use attribute table widget but it is not recognizing time slider parameters.

So the records in the attribute table do not display what is shown on the map....and I'm all like 'whats up with that?'

Ideally, the map and table should show same records.

I was informed that this is the functionality as designed. the two widgets access information independently.
