I used to be able to select a feature and copy it at a predetermined offset distance.

Copy line features parallel—ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS Desktop
Hi Steve.
If you use an offset distance with the trace tool you will get the same result as copy parallel (press the letter 'o' to get offset options). Use a negative number to offset to the other side of the line feature.

The Editor copy parallel tool has not been ported to Pro as yet.
