How to split a TIN surface by a Polygon

Hi

I am an ArcGIS new user, as I am relatively new in the GIS Field.

I am trying to do quantity take off using ArcGIS.

here is the problem I am facing:

I have polygons that represent the plots for a specific area

and I have paving surface (tin surface) that represents the paving.

I am trying to divide (split) the paving based on the plots polygons, so that I will get a separate paving piece for each plot.

what tool shall I use in order to cut my paving tin surface based on my plots polygons? after cutting the tin surface into multiple ones, will I be able to get the 3D area of the paving per plot ?

Is there any reason you want the true 3d distance / area for this?

Unless your plots / paving is on the side of the Himalayas, the angular difference given the size of the area will be pretty tiny.

you may find it useful to work with rasters in some instances, since there are cut and fill tools
