Is there an option to not include a basemap in a webmap on arcgis online?

HI Patrick,
The basemap sets the projection and spatial reference for the web map and is required. If you want a blank basemap or a solid colour basemap, you can consider creating your own custom vector tile style to make it appear like there isn't a base map, but all of your data still shows up in the right location.
