How to create a single multidimensional dataset out of multiple NetCDF files?

I have 40 annual NetCDF files (2010 mean in one, 2011 in another, etc). How do I combine these files to create a single multidimensional raster layer which can be analyses using ‘Raster Layer’ —> ‘Multidimensional’ tools?
