Using flex builder 3.6. If a user makes a selection using like the e search widget and then prints hoping that they get the highlighted polygons it will not print the highlighting. If a user clicks a polygon and it's highlighted it will print. Any suggestions on things to look at?

We are using 3.6 of the viewer and the print service is internal on ArcServer 10.2.2.

I went back to look at this once again and in Version 3.6 of the viewer I can get the selected features to draw. The server bug issue is with the polygon fill transparency that is ignored. Are you seeing something different? If so what version of ArcGIS Server are you using for your print service?
This is a known issue with the ArcGIS Server print service. It does not handle FeatureLayer selections well in printing but does work well with graphics (as is the latter scenario you mentioned). The eSearch uses FeatureLayer selection instead of graphics as this gives the ability to add to and remove from current selection.
