Extra fields when loading a WFS from geoserver

Hi everyone,

We've been testing the WFS services in ArcGIS recently.
The moment I load a WFS from geoserver something very strange happens.
When I look at the attribute table I notice that almost every field has been copied and given the suffix xsi_nil.
Every value in this field equals null.

Does anybody know the solution to this?
A screenshot of the attribute table has been added.

I am having the same issue. I still don't understand what these additional field mean, but I do know it DOES NOT happen in 10.1 SPK1, but it DOES happen in 10.2.

Any thoughts on how to disable these fields?
