Does the Leica CS25 work properly with the ArcGIS GeoEvent?

We are about to purchase the Leica CS25 and couldn�??t find sufficient resources whether this instrument can work with the ArcGIS GeoEvent?

Apologies for the delay in getting back with you regarding Leica Geosystems product support.

The GeoEvent Processor extension does not have out-of-the-box support for Leica devices. However, we have and SDK with samples and are preparing a product gallery which will contain the adaptors and transports being developed for numerous third-party devices and data feeds.

If you are just beginning to examine GeoEvent Processor, you'll want to understand that GeoEvent services incorporate input and output connectors. Beneath every input/output connector is an adaptor and transport. There are adaptors available out-of-the-box for JSON, RSS, and Text based feeds. There are transports available out-of-the-box for HTTP, TCP, UDP, Web Socket, Windows/Linux system files, and Esri FeatureServices. As the product matures there will be additional adaptors and transports developed both by Esri and the GIS community for a variety of third-party devices and data feeds. These custom components will eventually be included in the product gallery.

Hi Sunderman,

The issue here is how view the tracked device (Iphone, GPS, etc.) in the the ArcGIS desktop assuming that these devices are connected to WI-FI. What other software are needed to be installed in the tracked device to send the XY coordinates to the tracking server?

Doe this need development/programing? Is there software for the end-user by which the tracked device can be connected to the tracking server applying particular configuration?
