ArcReader and Geodatabase Domains

Question

I have a feature class where I have some domains set up in file geodatabase such as ex. 1-Residential, 2-Commercial, 3-Public Place etc but they do not show up in published maps. I just see 1,2,3 etc instead of actual description. Is that the way it works? 
To go around I have to export to shapefile, create new text fields, populate them with values and then publish. Would like to avoid all this hassle with extra work

Hi everybody. If you created a Data Package, just import your domain (Table to Domain) into the fresh Exported fGDB (into the \Data Directory) or replace the FC with the original one. The Exported fGDB loses unfortunately the Domain... Hope it helps, Chris

If you would like, upload a small dataset of your file geodatabase in a file geodatabase and I will test it for you. Once I have some results, I will reply with the results for you. I'm not on a maintenance for ArcGIS Desktop, only ArcPad. For some reason I can't make it work. I tried with multiple file geodatabases and still no go
