Difference in opening in Map View and ArcMap

Question

Hi maybe a nebie question but I can not find a solution in the knowledge base, maybe I do not know what to ask 🙂

If I open a "web map" in Map View I see Map Notes that I have added, if I open in ArcMap I do not see the Map Notes, even if I open both option from my "Content" page that is part of ArcGIS Online.

The "Map Notes" were added in ArcGIS Online, I was of the impression that you could move files between Map, Pro and Online  and you would get the same information displayed, but then I could be wrong.

Hi Ethan,

I created a Web Map with a feature layer and then added few Map Notes. I saved my Web Map and I could see the Map Notes when choosing "Open in the Map Viewer" and "Open in ArcGIS for Desktop" from the Item Details. Are you still experiencing this issue?
