Stack Profile

Question

I want to share what seems to be a bug.

I noticed that Stack Profile tool (3D Analyst) does not take into account coordinate system trasformations

set in the project. Therefore, if I want that that correct xyz were extracted from the raster along different profile, they must be in the same coordinate system.

Hi Kory,

well, if I set the tranformation in Stack Profile Environments tab all is fine.

ArcMap doesn't need to set it however. It takes into account the trasformations set in the Data Frame Properties.

Is that the normal behaviour for ArcGIS Pro?

Ivano, can you elaborate on how you noticed that the Stack Profile tool isn't accounting for the transformation?

Do you have the transformation set in the tool's environment setting? Geographic Transformations (Environment setting)—Geoprocessing | ArcGIS Desktop

If we need to dig deeper, are you able to send data and steps that demonstrate the issue?
