Trouble adding a custom basemap in ArcGIS Online

I was looking to use this NLS Historic Maps API - Map images - National Library of Scotland map as a custom basemap for my story map. Is it possible? How would I do it?

You can add it to a Web Map on AGOL using "Add Layer from Web" > "Tiled Layer":

Use as Basemap: checked
