Publicly shared story map prompts log in

Question

I have a shared story map ( Mapseries, bulleted) publicly, but it keeps prompting for sign in. The share settings for all files used to create the storymap is also public. What could be the issue?

Hi,

Can you share the URL for your story here? That would help us troubleshoot the issue.

Some things to check:

* All maps and layers in the story are shared publicly (sounds like you checked this already)
* All maps and layers in stories/apps embedded in your main story are shared publicly
* Embedded stories/apps can't use an organizational URL that doesn't allow anonymous access. That is, you can't use http://myorg.maps.arcgis.com/... if your org security settings don't allow anonymous access; use http://www.arcgis.com/... instead when embedding stories/apps.

You may have layers that are not for public share... or it could be other issues

use a search on GeoNet using ... story map public share ... as a phrase search, for example
