TIN Crashes ArcScene

Hi

I have an ArcScene tutorial SXD document, Create3dFeatures.sxd. When I open it I can see the topo_surface_tin TIN data source. However, when I try to add topo_surface_tin to a new ArcScene, it uses up all of my memory and I have to kill ArcScene. This is true for all TINs that I try to add to ArcScene.

I notice that the topo_surface_tin in Create3dFeatures.sxd does not have the elevation categoried, but it does that automatically when I add the  TIN to a new scene. Perhaps that is the problem?

Any suggestions?

Yes, it is a laptop with integrated graphics, AMD Radeon HD 6450M. This is a model that is only one year old. It is strange that I can display the TIN that is already within the XSD scene, but cannot add it again.

Sounds like a hardware issue.

What are the stats of your computer?

If you running on a laptop that has integrated graphics this is probably the case.

And it could very well be true for all TINs that you try to add to that machine.

I ran through a ArcScene tutorial and the data provided was all pretty small.  But small for a TIN is still pretty memory intensive.
