Publishing from ArcMap to ArcGIS online

How do you publish to ArcGIS online from ArcMap?

I have an MXD that would like to publish online so I can share it. I assume that I add the ArcGIS Online in the "Add ArcGIS Server" dialog in the Catalog, but I can't figure out the URL.

Am I on the right track?

Hi Russel,

You can go to File > Sign In to sign-in to your AGOL organizational account.

Then, File > Share as > Service. Add the AGOL account and necessary capabilities. Publish.

Jayanta's steps are perfect, his posting is correct. Couple screen shots below to help spell it out, hope this helps and good luck.

Once signed in choose "Share As" from the same menu and select "My Hosted Services" to publish the content of your MXD to ArcGIS Online.
